The Alternative Medicine Foundation

The Alternative Medicine Foundation publishes The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. The organization's web site includes an extensive list of resources, databases, and workshops. The foundation also developed the HerbMed database, which can be accessed from this site.

American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMA)

The purpose of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture is to promote the integration of concepts from traditional and modern forms of acupuncture with Western medical training and thereby synthesize a more comprehensive approach to health care. The site includes a database of physicians.

American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP)

The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians is the national professional society representing licensed or licensable naturopathic physicians who are graduates of four-year, residential graduates programs. Naturopathic medicine is based on the belief that the human body has an innate healing ability. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) teach their patients to use diet, exercise, lifestyle changes and cutting edge natural therapies to enhance their bodies' ability to ward off and combat disease. American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM)

The American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM)

The American College for the Advancement of Medicine represents one of the largest groups of licensed, practicing physicians in the U.S., distinguished by their evidence-based, scientific application of alternative medicines in patient care.

American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA)

Founded in 1978, the American Holistic Medical Association remains true to its original mission, serving as the leading advocate for the use of holistic and integrative medicine by all licensed healthcare providers. American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH)

The American Institute of Homeopathy is a trade association of medical and osteopathic physicians, dentists, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants dedicated to the practice, promotion and improvement of homeopathic medicine. The organization places great emphasis on the dissemination of homeopathic medical knowledge through publishing, public speaking and education. Center for Advancement in Cancer Education (CACE)

The Center for Advancement in Cancer Education is a non-profit cancer information, counseling, and referral agency.
